The qID R1240I is a RAIN RFID reader with integrated antenna for medium and long range applications. The reader houses an internal rechargeable battery and can operate either in wired mode, using a USB cable, or in wireless mode via the Bluetooth® interface.
Thanks to the Bluetooth® communication interface, the qID is a perfect complement to any Bluetooth® enabled host, such as a PC, smartphone, PDA or UHF RFID reading tablet.
The reader is compatible with Windows XP / 7/8/10, Windows CE / Mobile, Android and iOS operating systems. The reader can also operate in «Batch Mode», allowing up to 500,000 EPC codes to be stored in the internal memory when communication links (USB or Bluetooth®) are not available.
The qID can operate autonomously thanks to its internal scripting engine: the user can load a script to run when the activation button is pressed.
The scripting language is very powerful and, in addition to standard programming language constructs, allows access to all Gen2 commands and control of the optional barcode scanner, LEDs and internal memory. An optional 1D / 2D barcode imager allows the qID to read most barcode standards. This allows the qID to be the perfect identification device in a mixed barcode / RFID tag environment. When combined with a smartphone or tablet, the qID is a cost effective alternative to more expensive handheld devices.
Designed for mobile operators, the qID is ideal for inventory management, field sales mobility, service and maintenance applications.
