CAEN’s Hex R1290IE is a multi-purpose RAIN RFID reader with integrated circular polarized antenna for short- to medium-range applications.
Thanks to its versatile format, Hex is ideal for desktop/counter applications and for fixed reading point installations. It offers Ethernet (PoE) and USB communication interface to simplify installation in both large and individual installations.
Power over Ethernet capability enables power and communication with the reader with a single cable when PoE infrastructure is available.
In addition to the internal circular polarized antenna, the Hex provides a connector for an external antenna to expand the reader’s reading area and a set of GPIO lines that allows external devices such as lights or alarms to be controlled or triggers to be obtained through external devices. Sensors (buttons, light barriers).
